2 days later

Throughout the past couple of days I have been working on the beard for the elders and bracelets for the builders.

The beard is coming along nicely and with the various woven threads and fabrics, it is taking shape. However I feel if I chain stitched some wool with a crochet hook it would add another textural concept to the beard as well as bulk out the stitches making the beard visible from far away.

A working progress

The bracelets are based around the same theory of crochet chain stitch, however using string and a single chain. I have found that if I use a 8mm hook the chains are a chunky enough to be wrapped around the wrists without irritation and maybe the latex seaweed could be weaved in and out of the individual loops. Kate has approved the bracelets so within the next couple of days I will experiment with the latex and see if its possible.

Set of bracelets

Continuing on from my daily task as well I have produced 10 barnicles using a 5mm crochet hook and blue (4 ply baby soft) wool and

5 x 4mm crochet hook using Fawn 4ply knitting wool
1 x Fawn 4ply knitting wool over a structured cardboard cone
1 x String over a structured cardboard cone
2 x 4mm crochet hook using String
1 x 5mm crochet
hook using Blue 4ply (baby soft) wool

Easy wool to work with and not to strenuous.
