How to make Salmon Sandwiches

SALMON SANDWICHES

Using 4mm knitting needles and 100% Acrylic Double Knit Wool, 14 Stitches were cast on.  Twenty Five rows of garter stitch were knitted and then cast of.  The ends were sewn in with a wool needle to give a neat appearance.

For the filling 26 stitches of 100% Acrylic Double Knit in Coral, were cast on to the 4mm needles.  Two rows of garter stitch were kitted and then cast off.  The ends were sewn in, again with a wool needle.

The lettuce was made by casting on 8 stitches, using green double knit 100% Acrylic Wool.   Four rows of garter stitch were knitted followed by all stitches cast of and the ends sewn in.

Using multipurpose fast drying glue, put a line along of the glue along the wrong side of the salmon knitting.  Place it on two adjacent edges of the bread pieces and use 3 pins to hold it in place until the glue is dry.

Once dry, the pins are then removed.  A small amount of glue was added to two lettuce pieces and placed on top of the salmon.  Each being held in place by a pin.

It was allowed to dry and the pins were removed.

Glue was spread along the edge of the bread piece (the inner edges), folded over and stuck down over the salmon and lettuce.  This is held in place by 5 pins.

The pins were removed once the glue had dried.

This gives a nice triangular sandwich.
