Knitting groups and workshops

Part of my unit shall entail working with knitting groups and teaching workshops to those who don't know how to knit or crochet. I have spent the morning writing emails and phoning around groups from: Chichester, Portsmouth (and surrounding areas), Bournemouth and Poole. I am hoping that if I can gain 5 groups minimum it will secure enough people to help with making the textural props and displays for the event. I plan on teaching the basic stitches first and then continue onto simple patterns which shall evolve into the cake displays. Most of the patterns I have found so far use basic stitches which then can be manipulated. I have also researched into the patterns. As these are not to be sold and used as props, these links may be used, however it must be noted that these patterns were made up by other knitting groups/people. That being said I am hoping to come up with some of my own patterns which can be used for the production.
