Finalised Designs

Today I had the pleasure of seeing the finalised designs for the Mad Hatters Charity Tea Party event, designed by Elizabeth Cooke. I must admit from my point of view they are wonderful. Each character's costume has been designed in such a way that the actor shall be comfortable as well as looking the part. After working on last years event we learnt that the animal suits overheated the actors as well as the animal ears/ tails kept falling off. Due to these points Elizabeth has designed the animal costumes so that they look a lot more human with the trousers and shorts being made out of fake fur and the shirts and tops made out of cotton. This should enable the actors to stay cool whilst performing. She has also designed the ears to be on either alice bands or attached to hats. Below are the final character designs for the show. Tomorrow I shall be having a meeting with Mandy (one of our lecturers) to help decide on which costumes I shall made and which I shall supervise. Personally at the moment I am swaying towards the Queens dresses, Mad Hatter and March Hare. This is due to the fact each offer something I have yet to work on.
